Position Overview This is a newly created leadership role designed to elevate our client's global cybersecurity posture. As Senior Cybersecurity Manager, you’ll lead a technically strong team across architecture, operations, and automation. You’ll be responsible for building and executing a strategic roadmap, guiding toolset decisions, and aligning cybersecurity initiatives with business and regulatory needs. This role is part of our client's broader transformation journey, including cloud migration and modernization. You’ll serve as a technical strategist and visionary, helping the team navigate complex decisions and communicate risk effectively across all levels—from engineering teams to the C‑suite and board of directors. *This position also offers a future growth path toward a CISO role.* Why the Role is Open Our client is investing heavily in cybersecurity and created this role to bring in strategic leadership. The team needs a confident, technically grounded leader to guide decisions, assess gaps, and drive transformation. Team Structure Infrastructure Engineering Team – Deploys and optimizes cybersecurity tools; key business enablers. Cyber Operations Team – Works with third‑party MDR provider; this role is the main contact. Staff Team Member – Floats between teams to ensure tools support incident response. Bachelor’s + 8–10 years in cybersecurity OR Master’s + 5 years Strong understanding of frameworks: NIST, ISO, CIS, STIG Proven experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with cybersecurity tools: SIEM, EDR, CSPM, DLP Experience with incident response lifecycle and vulnerability management Ability to communicate technical risk to both technical teams and executive leadership Experience creating security standards and technology roadmaps Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+ Experience with AI, machine learning, IoT Familiarity with compliance frameworks: CMMC, ISO 27001 Experience with security automation and orchestration Military experience is highly valued Ideal Backgrounds Candidates from manufacturing or critical infrastructure industries are preferred.
