Senior Electrical Designer / BIM Lead
Join Jacobs as a Senior Electrical Designer / BIM Lead. In this hybrid position based in Pittsburgh, PA, you will collaborate with engineering teams on advanced facilities such as semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and research facilities.
Base Pay Range $80,600.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Deliver complex electrical packages in coordination with engineers and design leads.
Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM models, design layouts, single-lines, power plans, installation details, grounding plans, cable schedules, and more.
Perform clash detection, review clash report numbers, and discuss findings with project stakeholders.
Conduct power calculations and apply NEC and other electrical design standards under guidance from engineering staff.
Assist in identifying package owners and coordinating with design leads for project success.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 10 years of experience in design with 3‑D modeling/drafting.
Minimum 5 years of experience using Revit.
Minimum 5 years as a BIM lead.
Knowledge of NEC and electrical design requirements.
Associate’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
At least three years of semiconductor, data center, or mission‑critical design experience (preferred).
