In this hybrid role, you will be based in Deerfield, IL (2–3 days onsite per week) and work closely with the sales force to drive field effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Liaison for all Field Excellence capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of field effectiveness initiatives.

Strategic advisor to sales leadership (New Strategic Drivers and Regional Directors), ensuring connectivity of sales force strategy & execution across cross-field excellence initiatives such as incentive compensation, field operations, systems, capabilities, and broader CD&A reporting.

Lead or co‑lead special initiatives and projects (e.g., Sales Force size & structure, launch readiness, pilot testing and learning).

Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute field effectiveness strategy and programs across the portfolio, focusing on your business unit and implementing tactical plans that enhance field force productivity and efficiency.

Work closely with U.S. Analytics and other key stakeholders to develop robust metrics and dashboards; regularly assess field performance and industry trends to proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

Facilitate execution of projects related to customer targeting, field reporting, field alerts/suggestions, omnichannel/digital, and field transformation.

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers and senior managers, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and accountability. Establish clear performance metrics and development paths.

Ensure integrated execution of field strategies in partnership with the broader Commercial Data & Analytics (CD&A) team and other cross‑functional teams; prioritize analytics needs and conduct ad‑hoc analytics as required.

Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to stay ahead of competition and adapt capabilities to evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate degree and ≥3 years of experience in sales analytics, field effectiveness, life sciences consulting, or field sales within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry; OR

Master’s degree and ≥5 years of experience in the same areas; OR

Bachelor’s degree and ≥7 years of experience; OR

Associate’s degree and ≥12 years of experience; OR

High school diploma/GED and ≥14 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strategic thinking and creativity to influence sales leadership.

Strong analytical skills to diagnose business issues and develop/adjust strategies, plans, and tactics.

Project management experience leading cross‑functional teams to improve field operations.

Collaboration skills ensuring alignment and support for initiatives.

Effective communication of vision, goals, and progress to stakeholders at all levels.

Leadership experience building high‑performing teams and managing large initiatives in a matrix environment.
