The Assistant Director, Athletic Compliance position ensures compliance with Name Image Likeness (NIL) by evaluating third party NIL transactions for student-athletes in accordance with all UK, SEC, & national governing body rules and regulations. This position will monitor specific areas and ensure third party NIL deals are administered and completed in accordance with the NCAA Settlement. The role will be a pivotal member of the Athletics Department in managing NIL platforms and staying current on evolving legislative and industry trends. The Athletic Compliance Assistant Director will also provide interpretative assistance in the area of NIL under the supervision of the Sr. Associate AD.

Responsibilities

Evaluate third party NIL transactions for student-athletes.

Monitor specific areas and ensure third party NIL deals are administered and completed in accordance with the NCAA Settlement.

Manage NIL platforms and stay current on evolving legislative and industry trends.

Provide interpretative assistance in the area of NIL under the supervision of the Sr. Associate AD.

Qualifications

Required Education: BA.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s (advanced degree preferred, e.g., Masters, Juris Doctor).

Required Related Experience: 1 year experience in athletics compliance with working knowledge of NCAA legislation.

Required License/Registration/Certification: None.

Physical Requirements: Primarily working at desk job and sitting for long periods of time.

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
