We are a fast‑growing law firm that is looking for two ideal candidates to run our litigation practice.
An ideal candidate must have their JD from an accredited law school and a minimum of 7 years of experience working in a local Florida law firm.
You will work hands‑on with clients, assessing his or her case, reviewing contracts, preparing complaints or analyzing complaints to file a response, drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, appearing in court daily, attending mediations, taking and attending depositions, and working closely with paralegals and support staff to provide quality legal services to our large, diverse client base.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients, and completing tasks Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as briefs, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence Review contracts and prepare contracts Qualifications
Must be bilingual Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision Well‑versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) Communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required Must have a JD and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a prior law firm Compensation
$90,000 - $125,000 yearly
