Job Details This law firm seeks a highly motivated Associate Attorney with a strong background in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate is passionate, strategically minded, and committed to excellence. As an Associate Attorney you will manage your caseload, work directly with clients, and spearhead our litigation department while contributing to the overall success of our team.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, attending court, conferences, reviewing pleadings, and preparing for trial.

Conduct legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.

Regularly handle court appearances, mediations, and depositions.

Consult with clients to ascertain and address their legal needs.

Review and strategically analyze contracts and business agreements.

Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in a civil practice.

Draft real estate transactions and routine leases and amendments.

Draft motions, summary judgment motions, responses to MSJ, motions in limine, and other heavy motion practice.

Handle foreclosure, eviction, debt settlement, and commercial litigation defense motions.

Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve cases favorably.

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.

Contribute to firm growth by establishing new client relationships.

Attend networking events to bring in a percentage of business monthly.

Stay updated on changes in law, court decisions, and other legal matters impacting clients.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

At least 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.

Admission to the state bar in good standing.

Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Proven experience managing a full caseload.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

High level of professionalism and unwavering ethics.

Strong negotiation skills.

Action-oriented, organized, and confident.

Team player, comfortable attending networking events to bring in business.
