The Opportunity
As a Network Systems Engineer, you will take ownership of the complete design, deployment, and health of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). You will ensure seamless operation of voice, data, and video systems, anticipate future needs, and drive innovation by adopting cutting-edge technologies. You will play a critical role in shaping DoD network security standards and protocols.
What You'll Do
Design, deploy, and maintain secure network domains including SIPRNET and NIPRNET.
Manage user accounts, network storage, authentication servers, and associated privileges.
Oversee C4I infrastructure, including cryptologic hardware and fiber communications.
Create and update network maps, logical paths, and perform critical device rekeying.
Support the IT helpdesk, troubleshoot user and network issues, and maintain domain integrity.
Provide multimedia, VTC, and AV support to military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
Implement security patches, lead restoration planning, and investigate malware incidents.
Plan and execute installations of new hardware, OS upgrades, and application deployments.
Address network and VoIP security challenges in compliance with standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and in-depth analyses to resolve mission-critical challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of related experience; a combination of additional experience and advanced certifications may substitute for a degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph after hiring.
Proven experience in managing complex classified and unclassified networks.
Hands-on expertise with TCNO patches and network security protocols.
Required certifications: DOD 85701-M IAT Level II, CompTIA Security+
Preferred Qualifications:
Current polygraph clearance.
Proficiency with Cisco and Juniper hardware, SolarWinds, and Junos Space.
Experience in applying STIGs and deploying Cisco ISE.
Familiarity with VMware Component Protection (VMCP) and PowerShell DHCP for DoD networks.
Certifications: JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, CCNA.
Advanced skills in VoIP troubleshooting and deployment.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
The Leidos pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
