The Opportunity
As our Network Operations Specialist, you will take charge of the comprehensive design, deployment, and maintenance of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of voice, data, and video systems. Stay ahead of future demands and drive innovation by embracing the latest technologies, while also influencing network security standards and protocols.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain secure network domains, including SIPRNET and NIPRNET.
Manage user accounts, network storage, authentication servers, and their privileges.
Oversee C4I infrastructure, encompassing cryptologic hardware, fiber communications, and port configurations.
Produce and regularly update network maps, logical paths, and perform rekeying of critical devices.
Support IT helpdesk operations, troubleshoot user and network issues, and maintain domain integrity.
Deliver multimedia, VTC, and AV support to military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
Implement necessary security patches, lead contingency planning and recovery efforts, and investigate malware incidents.
Plan for and execute hardware installations, OS upgrades, and application rollouts.
Resolve network and VoIP security and configuration issues in compliance with established standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and detailed analyses to address unique mission-critical challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of additional experience and advanced certifications in lieu of a degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance with the capacity to pass a polygraph after employment.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex classified and unclassified networks.
Hands-on expertise with TCNO patches and network security protocols.
Required certifications: DOD 85701-M IAT Level II, CompTIA Security+.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current polygraph certification.
Proficiency with Cisco and Juniper hardware, SolarWinds, and Junos Space.
Experience with applying STIGs and deploying Cisco ISE.
Familiarity with VMware Component Protection (VMCP) and PowerShell DHCP for DoD networks.
Desirable certifications: JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, CCNA.
Advanced skills in VoIP troubleshooting and deployment.
