Human Resources Generalist (Contract to Hire)
We’re partnering with a growing organization that is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide coverage during a maternity leave, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled HR professional to operate autonomously, make impactful decisions, and support a multi-state employee population.
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) 85034
Pay: $33.65 – $38.50/hr (Contract to Hire)
Start Date: Within 2 weeks
Duration: Through the end of the year (potential to extend or convert)
Schedule: 8–5 or 9–4 with flexibility
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of progressive HR experience
Advanced Paycom HRIS skills
Strong multi‑state compliance knowledge (CA, CO, WA, AZ, TX, NM, NV, OK)
Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary HR contact for employees across multiple states
Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Support benefits administration, COBRA, and 401(k) processes
Oversee full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding activities
Serve as Paycom HRIS subject matter expert
Partner with leadership to provide coverage during maternity leave
