Overview

Director of Finance role at Atrium Centers. This position oversees the financial health and strategy of Atrium Centers’ skilled nursing operations, providing leadership in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, reimbursement, payroll, accounts payable, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

Assist the CFO and other finance leaders in developing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures. Consult and educate leaders on budget tracking and analysis. Compile and analyze past and current year data to identify trends affecting budget needs. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making. Direct the Accounting Department to provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive support to the organization. Oversee monthly financial statements for individual centers and corporate office; analyze variances from budget and ensure proper recording of transactions. Interpret and implement accounting policy and assess impacts of new accounting, fiscal, and regulatory changes. Support the development and review of internal controls, corporate policies, practices, and procedures across accounting, auditing, budgeting, payroll, and related functions in compliance with laws and regulations. Treasury, Cash Management & Regulatory Reporting

Manage capital assets, including asset additions, transfers, adjustments, and retirements, with accurate book and tax records. Reconcile capital asset sub-ledger to the general ledger, including depreciation and amortization. Maintain and reconcile bank accounts at centers and corporate office; assist with tax reporting and compliance. Direct tax reporting and compliance for Atrium’s employee benefit plans and liaise with outside consultants for tax returns and cost reports. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure financial practices comply with federal and state regulations, including CMS and GAAP standards. Assist with audits, cost reports, and financial portions of surveys and inspections. Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks. Payroll Management Oversight

Oversee timely payroll processing and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws. Manage payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits allocations. Accounts Payable Oversight

Monitor AP function for accurate and timely processing; provide leadership and coaching to the AP team. Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead and mentor the finance team, including controller, accountants, accounts receivable, and payroll staff. Collaborate with operations, HR, and clinical teams to align financial goals with operational performance. Work with facility administrators to manage facility-level financial performance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). 2–5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility. 5–7 years of progressive financial leadership in healthcare, with at least 3 years in skilled nursing or long-term care. Deep understanding of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and long-term care financial regulations. Skills & Competencies
