We’re currently searching for an experienced Product Manager to join our team. This position will report to the COO and is an on-site position in our office in Bethesda, Maryland. For the last couple of years, Potomac has been developing a new investment proposal and risk analysis software called “Guardrails”. The primary project of the Product Manager would be to continue developing the application, working with internal stakeholders & contracted developers, developing new features, and working towards new versioning. Key Responsibilities
Manage the roadmap, development, and launch of proprietary software application, Guardrails. Translate high-level business goals into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and wireframes. Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external developers. Manage project timelines, scope, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives. Lead QA testing, identify bugs, and continuously improve UX/UI in partnership with engineering. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, compliance, and leadership to ensure solutions meet business needs. Drive agile/scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) to keep teams aligned and moving. Use data and user feedback to iterate and enhance product performance. Required Skills & Experience
5-10 years of product management experience. Relevant FinTech and Financial Services experience. Demonstrated experience owning custom application builds from concept to launch. Strong understanding of API integrations, data structure, and agile development principles. Comfortable managing developer relationships (in-house or contract) and technical roadmaps. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing. Bonus
Experience working in or adjacent to RIA, asset management, or compliance environments. Familiarity with Teamwork.com and HubSpot Previous work with risk analysis, financial modeling, or proposal generation software. About Potomac
