Overview
Sr. Director, Regional Lead, Field Medical - West role with Intellia. The Regional Lead will manage a team of Regional Scientific Directors covering Intellia’s CRISPR programs in the US, with responsibilities spanning strategic planning of key accounts and tactical execution of the team\'s engagement plan, and ensuring effective communication of scientific information to healthcare professionals. The role supports the Global External Medical Engagement Lead in translating priorities into region-specific objectives for NTLA-2001 (nex-z) and NTLA-2002 (lonvo-z). Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Regional Scientific Directors (RSDs) and associated teams to align with medical plans and regional strategies. Coach, develop, and assess RSD performance; oversee territory management, cross-functional communications, and prioritization of products and field medical initiatives. Monitor progress and impact of external engagement and RSD contributions toward business priorities. Translate field medical priorities into specific, impactful goals for the region and individual RSDs; lead strategic medical engagement planning for the region, including KOL education on CRISPR technologies and medical data. Drive the tactical execution of individualized RSD scientific engagement plans for key KOLs, aligned with medical strategy and scientific narrative. Develop insights into patient journeys, site capabilities, and appropriate engagement approaches; identify external insights and knowledge gaps. Oversee clinical trial engagement with PIs and study sites; support trial teams with problem solving, operational insights, and scientific guidance. Lead development and execution of site-specific engagement plans to optimize enrollment and operations; customize strategies for subject identification, access, and recruitment. Promote external medical engagement to gather care-pathway insights and inform strategy for ATTR amyloidosis and HAE programs. Supervisory Responsibilities
Management of a field-based medical team across a US region with 5-10 direct reports. Requirements

Strong organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail; excellent presentation and communication skills across multiple formats. Ability to clearly communicate complex scientific and medical information to internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication; interpersonal skills for collaboration with partners, investigators, contractors, and teams. Proven coaching ability for effective scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals. Willingness and ability to travel 50-70% including overnight stays. Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom or similar tools. Valid driver\'s license. Education / Certifications
Doctorate Level Degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.). Experience
7+ years industry or related Field Medical experience. 2+ years leadership or management experience within Field Medical Affairs. Extensive clinical trial experience including Phase 3 trials in cardiology, immunology, rare disease or genetic medicine. Experience as an MSL/RSD with robust scientific exchange experience in a regulated environment. Knowledge of FDA regulations regarding product promotion, scientific exchange, and HCP guidelines. New product launch experience highly preferred. Physical Requirements

The base salary range for this position is $270,000.00 - $330,000.00 USD per year. Additional compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new hire equity grant, and eligibility for annual equity awards as determined by the company. Other benefits details available upon hire.
