5am-1pm, 1pm-9pm, 9pm-5am.

Pay:

$18.75-$20.75

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Sanitation Workers. This position initially requires availability from Monday to Sunday during the first week and will transition to a 5-6 day workweek schedule. Overtime compensation is provided for work over 40 hours, and double time is offered for any work completed beyond 8 hours on the 7th day. This is a contract-to-hire role, converting to full-time employment after 31 working days. Ideal candidates should possess 2+ years of sanitation experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. The work environment primarily operates in Spanish, and onboarding will be conducted in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed sanitation and upkeep of the facility, ensuring that all processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized according to established standards.

Maintain the facility and surrounding area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and recognized Food Safety Standards.

Remove all trash and product/soil from the plant, and clean floors, walls, and ceilings.

Follow directions from the Sanitation Supervisor and Leads, with duties directed by both.

Adhere to all sanitation equipment tool and equipment guidelines.

Wear company-provided protective gear at all times.

Essential Skills

Experience in sanitation, production, manufacturing, janitorial duties, and cleaning.

Knowledge of chemical usage, proportions, and regulations.

Decision-making, problem-solving, and listening skills.

Familiarity with GMPs, Food Safety, and Sanitation Procedures.

Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Capability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive situations.

Willingness to learn and adhere to safety procedures when working with moving machinery.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for garbage removal or up to 70 lbs. if using power hoses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Exposure to and adherence to safety protocols with chemical cleaning solutions such as chlorine, acid, and detergents.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, crouching, and climbing stairs and ladders.

Work in a cold and wet environment with temperatures varying around 34 degrees.

Reliable transportation to and from the work site.

Flexibility with schedule changes, including possible weekend and overtime work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
