The Platform Engineering & Emerging Technology (PEET) Amazon Dedicated Cloud team is hiring for an ADC Engineer to support CloudTrail, AWS Config and other AWS services. You\'ll design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers\' and our team\'s workloads. This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement solutions and solve technical problems. The role focuses on AWS CloudTrail and AWS Config within PEET services in dedicated regions. We are building large distributed systems and need adaptable people to implement and operate them. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and you must opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency you serve.
Key job responsibilities
Investigate new ways to improve operations and define solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues for customers.
Maintain service health by analyzing performance outliers through metrics and logs.
Deep dive into architecture to understand system configuration and dependencies; prioritize work to delight customers.
Study and learn from industry experts on cloud computing and storage.
Build and launch AWS services from hardware ordering to software deployment.
Participate in on-call rotation; analyze repeat issues and define solutions.
Modify and optimize solutions for isolated networks.
Inspect security practices and apply best practices.
Support the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies to implement innovative cloud solutions.

Basic Qualifications
Associate\'s degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP.
3+ years operating in Unix/Linux/Red Hat environment.
3+ years implementing automated testing, scripting, deployment, and performance analysis.
3+ years troubleshooting and identifying root causes.
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.
5+ years experience with production computing environments support procedures.
5+ years experience troubleshooting.
3+ years networking experience.
3+ years experience with performance and log analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
