The Environmental Manager at EOG will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing proactive division-specific environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This includes spill prevention and response, air emission control and permitting, stormwater control and permitting, wetlands and jurisdictional waters, waste management, community right-to-know, endangered species, and cultural resources. The role involves promoting environmental awareness at all levels of management and field operations, overseeing the preparation of permit applications for complex oil and gas facilities, advising operations on permitting requirements and compliance, developing response plans, coordinating spill and crisis response training, managing environmental projects and remediation efforts, investigating landowner complaints, reporting spills and incidents, monitoring regulations, participating in industry meetings, and coordinating with corporate environmental staff. Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field; Master's preferred. 10+ years of oil and gas-related environmental experience. Strong technical knowledge and sound judgment. Broad knowledge of environmental laws and regulations. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Ability to work independently. Experience in training and mentoring team members. Willingness to travel to field sites (30%) and for meetings (10%). This position will be filled based on experience.
