Connections Personnel is hiring for a Direct Hire Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk for our client located in Somerset. Looking for a detail and organized individual to join their accounting team! Base pay range $19.00/hr - $20.00/hr This range is provided by Connections Personnel. Somerset, NJ Responsibilities
Enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system. Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify accuracy. Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, or wire transfers) in a timely manner. Maintain vendor files and ensure proper documentation for all transactions. Process employee expense reimbursements and ensure supporting documentation compliance. Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or payment issues. Assist with Reconcile company credit card statements Assist with expense report processing and credit card reconciliations. Check and verify EDI orders and confirm accuracy before invoicing. Generate and send customer invoices Assist with issuing credit memos or adjustments when necessary Assist with month-end closing and prepare supporting reconciliations. Maintain accuracy and completeness of all accounting records. Support audits by gathering and organizing requested documentation. Provide general administrative support such as filing, data entry, and mail handling. Answer phones and assist with general office communications as needed. Order and maintain office supplies, ensuring an organized and efficient work environment. Coordinate with other departments to support smooth financial and administrative operations. Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field preferred. Experience: 0–1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support. Technical Skills: Experience with accounting software; NetSuite preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills. May require occasional overtime during month-end close or audit periods. Schedule: Mon to Fri (8:30–5:30) Benefits
