Technical Sales Representative
ensures that the assigned revenue, margin, and product mix objectives, within the corporate business framework, are met or exceeded. This is accomplished by securing, developing, and managing key architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-user accounts. This position will own and manage all related performance and service metrics for the assigned accounts in the SE Region. We prefer the candidate to reside in Louisiana or Mississippi to support the SE territory. This position supports Tremco Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing, Dryvit and Modulite product lines. Tremco Sealants manufactures sealants, air barriers, waterproofing membranes, traffic coatings, glazing accessories and more for new construction and restoration. Our products are used in structures from parking garages and mixed-use buildings to single-family homes and high-rises, and in modular, residential window and door, industrial and manufacturing markets. Responsibilities
Achieves or exceeds assigned sales goals and expectations. Works with existing accounts while seeking and developing new opportunities to increase use of Tremco CPG products in the assigned territory. Manages accounts to establish business development opportunities through account penetration, analysis, partnerships with key decision makers, and strategic initiatives. Drives product specifications and project opportunities throughout the territory. Develops trusted advisory relationships with customers through industry knowledge and marketplace dynamics, focusing on problem identification, exploration and resolution. Annually prepares and delivers strategic business/territory plans with monthly forecasts. Follows the standard sales process to identify prospects, gain commitment, forecast sales probability, and close deals. Maintains professional communication and ethical conduct in daily interactions. Develops technical, high-quality collateral, prospectuses, presentations, and business correspondence to support the sales process. Coordinates product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers as appropriate. Leverages technology for lead generation, account maintenance, sales tracking, forecasting, and presentations. Collaborates with internal support resources to foster teamwork. Attends and presents at industry conventions and trade shows. Maintains extensive product knowledge across product lines and service offerings. Adheres to company policies, pricing, and operational procedures with attention to professional image. Performs other related duties as required. Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management with 2-3 years of construction or industry experience OR a minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience. Experience
Two plus years related experience and/or training. Construction knowledge in waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, EIFS, etc. EIFS experience highly preferred. Basic knowledge of product chemistries. Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce.com or other CRM experience is preferred. Professional curiosity, ability to learn and retain information, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. Physical Demands
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 25 lbs. Benefits and Compensation
The base salary range for applicants is $87K and up, with incentive compensation; range varies based on experience and qualifications.
