Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Civil Engineer
with expertise in
roadway design, drainage, and water resources
to join a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy in Texas. This role offers the opportunity to lead municipal and infrastructure projects, manage the full project lifecycle from design to construction support, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to high-quality civil engineering solutions. Location & Salary
Location:
Houston, TX (or statewide Texas, preferably based in the Houston area) Salary:
$95,000 – $135,000 per year Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and analysis of roadway, drainage, and water-resource projects. Prepare PS&E packages, schematics, hydraulic models, cost estimates, and bid documentation. Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful delivery. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and public agencies, including attending stakeholder and public meetings. Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, change orders, and site visits. Mentor junior engineers and support internal technical development. Assist with proposals, pre-bid meetings, and business development initiatives. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas. 6–8+ years of hands-on civil engineering experience in transportation, drainage, and water resources. Strong skills in roadway design, H&H drainage modeling, and stormwater/water-resource systems. Proven ability to manage projects from design through construction support. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies, including attending public meetings. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with TxDOT schematic and PS&E design standards. Expertise in technical documentation such as memos, technical letters, and RFI responses. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams. Familiarity with GIS, cost estimating, and program/project management tools. About The Company
