Overview
Dewberry is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to work in our Eastern, Central, or Western PA locations. This is an opportunity to join a team of professionals and work on bridges and transportation projects with potential for growth and exposure to the latest technology.
Responsibilities
Perform structure-related design for transportation projects.
Assign tasks to and coordinate with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements.
Participate in the development of proposals, contract plans, engineer's estimates, construction specifications, and construction support services.
Required Skills & Experience
BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred).
5 to 10 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission.
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required (PE preferred).
Proficiency using CADD (MicroStation preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A desire to work in a team environment.
Proficient in the use of PennDOT’s structural design software and other industry-standard structural software.
Experience with structure-related design for transportation projects including: Bridges, Retaining Walls, Culverts, Sign Structures, Contract Plans, Engineer’s Estimates, Construction Specifications, Shop Drawing Review.
Driving is a requirement of the position; a clean driving record is required.
