Overview
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you\'ll work closely with customers to implement, automate, and manage AWS solutions to protect customer assets, enable customer security teams to operate more effectively, and ensure customers don’t accept unnecessary risk. Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Cloud Security Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current security capabilities, and develop and implement optimized security controls in AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, and you will be responsible for executing implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices, and managing customer security risks throughout the project. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices covering various solutions, technologies, and industries. Responsibilities
Solve technical problems independently Collaborate with others to define and implement solutions Escalate risks with options, impact, and recommended solutions Be an established expert in at least one technology domain Implement, automate, and manage scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent 3+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience, or equivalent Bachelor\'s degree 3+ years of integration, testing and automation experience Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an AWS environment, including VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, SQS, CloudFormation and Lambda AWS Professional level certification, or 1+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby) Experience in information security and compliance Experience in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations, risk, compliance or project management Hands-on technical expertise in building security capabilities in code, deploying infrastructure as code, and implementing enterprise security solutions (e.g., WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, SIEM) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
