Vascular & Interventional Radiologist. Opportunity available for an experienced Vascular Interventional Radiologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the No. 1 Best Hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Divisional duties include providing clinical interventional radiology services primarily in the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center and Clements University Hospital & Clinics, with additional opportunities at Parkland Health & Hospital System and Texas Health Frisco. Candidates should be excited to work in an academic environment and committed to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Responsibilities
Provide clinical interventional radiology services in assigned clinical centers. Participate in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Engage in collaborative research and multidisciplinary clinical activities as part of an academic division. Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent Fellowship Training in Vascular & Interventional Radiology Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas Sub-specialty certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology Three to five years of post-fellowship work experience in interventional radiology is desired Eligibility for Texas medical licensure and ABR certification/eligibility Divisional Facilities and Practice
Growing Vascular Interventional Radiology Practice with 16 faculty members, 14 Advanced Practice Providers and 17 interventional radiology residents Clements University Hospital facilities include four Philips angiography systems with cone-beam CT and embolization navigation, Siemens Nexaris CT angiography room, dedicated CT and US procedure rooms with advanced needle guidance, and a Siemens MR interventional suite Simmons Cancer Center has a single Siemens Cios Alpha C-arm fluoroscopy room Parkland Memorial Hospital has four Philips angiography systems with cone-beam CT, dedicated CT and US procedure rooms Texas Health Frisco has one Philips angiography system and dedicated CT and US procedure rooms Full inpatient consult service at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital Dedicated Interventional Radiology clinic with four exam rooms and one procedure room at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital; all outpatient referrals seen in the clinic before and after the procedure Research Collaboration
Opportunities to develop research interests in collaboration with radiology and non-radiology basic science and clinical teams A dedicated Interventional Radiology animal lab being set up in collaboration with the Advanced Imaging Research Center for drug delivery platform discovery via endovascular and image-guided techniques Current and future research opportunities involving advanced imaging modalities and artificial intelligence programs Faculty Benefits
