is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of the SCADA system. This role involves managing system documentation, infrastructure, and methods to ensure workflows are clearly established and optimized. The Sr. SCADA Engineer will also drive improvements to the SCADA system to maximize operational performance. Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and management of SCADA systems Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine optimal designs Act as a technical leader on development projects, supporting and mentoring Engineers I, II, and III to complete assigned tasks Assess the feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering cost, space, time, and other technical and economic factors Provide technical information on manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, and processes that impact long-term engineering planning Collaborate with research and engineering teams to resolve issues and refine designs Direct and coordinate the manufacturing or construction of prototype systems Plan and execute experimental test programs Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications Evaluate engineering test results for potential applications or system improvements Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications

Education

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Essential Qualifications

Minimum of 6+ years of experience with SCADA systems and OPC communication Strong understanding of feedback control systems and PID controllers Proficiency in ladder logic Advanced knowledge of best manufacturing and programming practices (ISA standards and compliance) Advanced knowledge of Modbus, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, MQTT, OPC UA, and SQL Experience designing high-availability systems and databases in a manufacturing environment Background working in a high-volume manufacturing setting Understanding of electrical hardware, control sequences, and software design Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams Flexible and skilled in problem-solving using first-principles thinking Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) Preferred Qualifications

Experience programming, installing, and troubleshooting manufacturing image vision systems (e.g., Keyence, Cognex) Experience programming, installing, and troubleshooting PLC systems (preferably Mitsubishi or Omron) Knowledge of ISA88 physical model systems such as PackML Familiarity with American environmental laws and UL standards Location
