Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and management of Panasonic's SCADA system within the Gigafactory.

Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine feasible designs.

Serve as a technical leader in development projects, assisting Engineers I, II, and III.

Determine the feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, space, and other factors.

Provide technical information on manufacturing techniques, materials, and process advantages.

Collaborate with research personnel to resolve problems and develop designs.

Oversee the manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.

Develop experimental test programs and analyze test data to ensure design meets specifications.

Evaluate engineering test results for potential system developments.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education :

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Required)

Experience and Skills :

Minimum of 8+ years of experience with SCADA systems and OPC communication.

Understanding of feedback control systems and PID controllers.

Knowledge of ladder logic, ISA standards, Modbus, Ethercat, Ethernet IP, Profinet, MQTT, OPC UA, and SQL.

Experience designing high availability systems in manufacturing environments.

Understanding of electrical hardware, drawings, and software design.

Ability to work with related departments, including overseas teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working-level English skills (reading, writing, speaking).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with vision systems like Keyence and Cognex.

Experience programming PLC systems, preferably Mitsubishi or Omron.

Knowledge of ISA88 systems like PackML.

Knowledge of environmental laws and UL standards.

Alignment with Panasonic's core principles.
