The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a vacancy for a Full-time Retail Store Manager I. This role involves supervising store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, maximizing profits, and ensuring compliance with NHLC rules and policies. Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service by building a loyal customer base and enhancing customer relations. Act as a store manager in a low-volume retail environment and supervise store personnel up to the Retail Salesperson III level. In a large-volume store, assist with managing daily store operations (opening/closing the store, setting up merchandising displays and equipment, making deposits, and taking inventory). Provide routine training and guidance necessary to the operation of state liquor stores to all store employees. Account for stock and maintain proper inventory levels, including anticipating sale items as necessary. Calculate sales transactions and prepare and make bank deposits. Review and interpret computer printouts and make recommendations to the Store Manager. Supervise and guide store personnel in the performance of their duties. Serve in the capacity of a Retail Salesperson when not assisting the Store Manager. Supervise all employees and have the ability to fill in for a higher-level Store Manager for short periods of time. On occasion, travel to other store locations as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school. License/Certification: Valid driver's license. Other Requirements
Must be able to continuously lift material up to 25 pounds, with frequent lifting of cases of alcohol weighing up to 60 pounds. Must be able to work a schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours. Trainee Option: Not applicable. Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in a public contact, retail store, cash-handling position preferred. Compensation and Benefits
