Join for the Mechanical Design Engineer role at Jobs via Dice. This is a college new hire position in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities
Assist production and development teams with new design activity, engineering changes, technical challenges, creating updated drawings and assembly parts lists, and developing new designs and tooling. Support the Mechanical Design department and provide cross functional support to the Hardware design and analysis teams. Basic Qualifications
Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including mechanical design, analysis, geometric dimensioning or tolerancing (GD&T), demonstrated through strong academic performance. Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as PTC Creo, 3DX/CATIA, Solidworks. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, demonstrated through hands-on experience. Strong communication and teamwork skills, demonstrated through successful group projects and collaborations. Desired Skills
Relevant experience through internships, co-ops, or industry equivalent university projects. Has or is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience with troubleshooting hardware and resolving fitment issues. Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar tools. Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles. EEO
