Mechanical Design Engineer Sr role at Lockheed Martin. Location: Arlington, TX. Apply via Dice. What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the production programs, troubleshooting issues, and developing innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and validate subsystems and components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Screening and evaluating failures, defects, and production issues to develop viable solutions Supporting product line validations and first article inspections Designing subsystems and components, developing interfaces, and coordinating with various departments Developing and releasing engineering drawings and documents Basic Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree from an accredited university, preferably in an Engineering related field Strong engineering/technical foundation with ability to grasp complex issues quickly Skilled at creating and releasing part and assembly models and detailed drawings using Creo (ProEngineer) and Windchill Experience creating drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic, inclusive, team environment Limited Travel as necessary Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain it Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Detail and process oriented Desired Skills
Previous Material Review Board experience Ability to read and understand hardware production work instructions Foundational communication and leadership skills for future technical leadership Previous Lockheed Martin and/or Missile program experience is a plus EEO
