Division of Development and Alumni Relations: advances goals by generating private financial support, building relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities. Career Center: provides centralized career services to undergraduate, graduate students, and alumni; collaborates with faculty and staff to enhance career success; services include career counseling, job search training, and connecting with employers; serves as a gateway to the University for employers. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to design and lead high-impact career programs that serve various student populations, including those from differing backgrounds. Strong understanding of career development theory, student needs across academic disciplines, and current trends in career education and labor markets. Proven track record of developing, executing, and assessing career-related events and initiatives at scale. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across stakeholder groups including students, faculty, employers, and alumni. Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with career services technologies (e.g., Handshake), data-informed decision making, and innovative digital engagement tools. Duties/Responsibilities
Career Education Programming and Curriculum Development Leverage data-driven insights to develop and implement long-term programming supporting undergraduate and graduate career education, including Beyond the Arch Career Readiness Bootcamp and related initiatives. Lead coordination and post-event assessment, including semesterly dashboard updates distributed to schools/colleges, of relevant Career Education Conferences and Networking Dinners serving a wide range of disciplines. Develop and maintain general undergraduate and population-specific eLC modules in partnership with Career Center staff. Collaborate with Director of Career Education to provide logistical support, pull data for, and operationalize the Arch Ready Professionalism Program each semester. Coordinate Career Fair Prep stations during major Fall and Spring Career Fair events. Supervision and Performance Management Supervise 3-4 Career Consultants and/or 1 Graduate Assistant serving several schools and colleges. Provide guidance and support through individual and group meetings, semester reports, strategic planning meetings and professional development opportunities. In coordination with Director of Career Education, develop KPIs and expectations for employees; mentor and evaluate performance annually. Academic Collaboration and Student Access Support Actively liaise with School and College Academic Advising teams to provide updates and resources and evaluate student needs. Maintain regular communication with UGA satellite campuses and UGA Online Learning to determine Career Services resource and programming needs. Support Career Consultants with appointments during high-demand periods and offer 15-minute Career Quick Chat appointments for general support. Stakeholder Engagement and Institutional Collaboration Meet and communicate regularly with key UGA contacts to develop appropriate career services for graduate students. Attend division-wide events and meetings (Discover DAR, Townhall, Development meetings, etc.). Additional Details
