Overview
In the role of
US Sales Director , you will lead the wholesale sales strategy and execution across all LOWA business segments in the United States, including both
Professional (tactical, work, and duty)
and
Outdoor (hike, trail, athletic)
markets. You will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of market dynamics, channel segmentation, and consumer behavior, driving profitable growth across specialty, national, and key account partners. This role requires building and maintaining high-level relationships with key customers, leading strategic initiatives to expand market share, and collaborating closely with internal partners in Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service. You will also oversee the independent sales force, ensuring consistent alignment with LOWA’s growth objectives and brand positioning. Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Vision Define and drive the sales strategy across all wholesale channels in both Professional and Outdoor segments. Establish, maintain, and elevate strong relationships with senior-level decision-makers at key accounts. Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Demand Planning, and Operations to align business objectives with market opportunities. Develop and implement long-term sales and business plans that align with consumer and channel trends. Operational and Financial Oversight Deliver annual sales plans that meet or exceed revenue, margin, and market share goals. Manage account performance to achieve critical KPIs, including sell-in, profitability, and shelf presence. Oversee chargeback analysis and resolution in partnership with Finance and Customer Experience teams. Category and Revenue Management Lead forecasting and demand planning collaboration to ensure optimal product availability and inventory efficiency. Oversee the order book process to align with corporate objectives while meeting customer expectations. Manage promotional and seasonal sales strategies, balancing growth with profitability. Customer & Channel Development Develop innovative sell-in strategies that support account growth across digital, specialty, and national retailers. Negotiate promotional programs and in-season investments to optimize account performance and minimize costs. Expand LOWA’s presence in underpenetrated channels and customer segments. Team & Sales Force Leadership Lead and manage the independent sales agencies, including contracts, scorecards, evaluations, and market travel. Provide coaching, training, and leadership to ensure consistent execution of LOWA’s sales strategy. Prepare and communicate seasonal, annual, and long-term sales targets and projections. Qualifications, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
Proven track record of leading wholesale sales at the national and specialty account level. Extensive experience managing independent sales representatives and agencies. Strong business acumen with the ability to manage P&L responsibility. Advanced negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with analytical, planning, and organizational strengths. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools. Ability to travel up to 50% for account meetings, trade shows, and market visits. Knowledge of footwear and/or outdoor performance categories preferred. Results-driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial leadership style. Physical Demands & Working Environment
