Overview

The Senior Category Leadership Analyst, Kroger is responsible for building, developing, and shaping category growth plans based on data, shopper and category insights and trends. This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration, project leadership, and the ability to independently pull together strategic recommendations from insights and data in a fast-paced and changing business environment. What You Will Do

Drive sales growth by proactively uncovering business opportunities via deep-dive analytics, independently discerning trends and providing insights-based recommendations. Data sources include retailer loyalty data, syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI), Numerator, eCommerce data sources and HH Panel data. Provide high quality, unbiased category management recommendations to customer retailers and field sales to enable them to drive traffic, increase market share and improve efficiencies. Integrate Omni-channel initiatives into analysis of business results. Uncover transformational Omni Category insights and solutions for customers/shoppers/consumers that deliver on critical metrics for instore and online. Lead category presentations at assigned customers. Develop assortment optimization recommendations for online and in-store by providing shopper, category, brand and/or customer insights. Collaborate with Customer Development Managers to evolve promotional plans, evaluate the impact of pricing and track competitive activity to unlock internal and external growth opportunities. Build customer relationships and serve as a trusted category partner, providing support during POG Line review process. Work with internal partners to provide voice of customer to craft go-to-market initiatives and to provide an understanding of the external marketplace. Find opportunities to deliver on strategic seasonal priorities for the business. Develop, utilize, and share best practices to improve functional efficiency and accuracy of findings and recommendations. Ensure that data is organized and error-free when devising data sets through careful review and refinement. Lead strategic initiatives outside of day-to-day analytical support. Mentor/coaches junior members of the team. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in category insights/management, sales analytics, shopper insights, or related field in a consumer products environment Prior experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana, Numerator) preferred Prior experience using Kroger data tools and systems (e.g., 84.51 Stratum & Market6) preferred Intermediate to Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience in Health and Beauty Care (HBC) and Self Care (OTC) categories preferred Experience with JDA or other space planning software preferred Ability to independently assess, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from sales and customer data Ability to craft impactful presentations to explain recommendations and findings Excellent communication and collaboration skills What’s In It For You

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges: $86,700.00 - $122,400.00. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
