Overview

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Pulmonology/Critical Care, full-time, based in Northern Colorado. Responsibilities

Inpatient care is primarily located at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO, and UCHealth Greeley Hospital in Greeley, CO. You may be asked to cover at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. Manage pulmonary floor, step-down, and ICU patients in collaboration with pulmonology/critical care physicians. Perform rounding, new consults, admissions, and discharges. Perform history and physicals, order and interpret tests, and order treatments. Coordinate with other health care professionals. Perform advanced procedures. Initial orientation focuses on hospital management of pulmonary and critical care patients; training will be adjusted based on APP experience. Northern Colorado is a growing area, and UCHealth roles may evolve over time. Epic EMR is utilized system-wide. Qualifications

Requirements For Physician Assistants Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the NCCPA and maintained throughout employment Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications Eligible to provide services reimbursable by Medicare/Medicaid and to maintain provider status Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges Prescriptive authority as appropriate per medical staff privileging Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by AHA or Red Cross Requirements For Nurse Practitioners Master's degree in Nursing and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANPCB) for hire and maintained during employment Unrestricted NP license in the practicing state or compact privileges Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges Full prescriptive authority Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare/Medicaid Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by AHA or Red Cross Benefits
