You will be working in a multicultural and multi‑disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Nanochemistry Research Unit is coordinated by Liberato Manna. The research focuses on developing nanoscale materials for applications in optics, photonics, electronics and energy related fields. We are seeking highly motivated and talented candidates in the synthesis and spectroscopy of colloidal nanocrystals. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be: Develop new methods for the synthesis of colloidal nanocrystals. Study their properties with various spectroscopy tools. Cooperate/give support with other postdocs/PhD students/undergrads on nanocrystals synthesis activities. Report to the group on the progress of your research activities and mentoring students. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or a related subject. Strong background in the synthesis of colloidal nanocrystals. Expertise in nanocrystals characterization tools. Fluency in English is essential. The successful candidate should have good practice with teamwork, group learning processes and a problem‑solving attitude. A strong publication record. The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data. ADDITIONAL SKILLS

Experience in synthesis and spectroscopy of colloidal nanocrystals Ability to work in a challenging and international environment Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset COMPENSATION PACKAGE

A yearly gross salary up to 35.000 euro Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
