We’re working with a global oil and gas manufacturing company that delivers high-performance engineered products and services to major energy operators worldwide. As the Accounts Payable Accountant, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments, maintaining clean accounting records, and supporting month-end close processes. This role suits someone who enjoys a hands-on accounting position within a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices accurately and in line with company policies. Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies promptly. Prepare and process weekly or bi-weekly payment runs. Maintain up-to-date AP aging reports and assist with month-end closing activities. Support accruals, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations related to AP. Liaise with purchasing, operations, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve issues. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. Contribute to process improvements and AP automation initiatives. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial business. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with high volumes of transactions.
