Estimator
will play a key role in the preconstruction and bidding process by developing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with project managers and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive proposals. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of
ground-up and renovation projects
ranging from mixed-use developments to multi-family housing and commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of commercial and multi-family construction projects.
Review drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and pricing.
Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure constructability and cost efficiency.
Assist in value engineering and budget development during preconstruction.
Participate in project turnover meetings and provide ongoing estimating support as needed.
Maintain current knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the region.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–7+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor; commercial and/or multi-family experience required.
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, or similar).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
