Responsibilities
Under limited supervision of the deputy director of finance, manages the business activities (budget, procurement, and supply) for the division of health services to ensure compliance with state and agency rules and regulations, policies and procedures, missions, and objectives. Supervise administrative coordinator pertaining to the processing of invoices and inmate medical bills including verification and data entry in the South Carolina enterprise information system. Maintain and monitor monthly expenditure reports for health services. Maintain, monitor, and initiate all contracts within health services. Prepare annual budget request for health services to be reviewed with deputy director of health services and deputy directors of substance abuse. Complete fiscal impact studies for all proposed strategic initiatives, staffing proposals and equipment purchases. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking. SCDC Minimum Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field and professional experience in a related field. Must have three (3) years of experience in healthcare finances.
