Responsibilities

Responsible for the administration and supervision of all disbursements and deposits of the prison industries, state inmate pay, private sector funds and community services funds.

Coordinate the accurate processing of inmate pay and accurately and properly distribute all W-2's for private sector inmate participants.

Oversee special funds accounts to ensure accountability is maintained.

Supervise the account ANT/Fiscal analyst I for special funds area, who is responsible for verification and disbursement of all special fund’s accounts.

Collection and disbursement of generated reports for FA.

Verify all central banking deposits entered by A/P. Complete monthly disbursement of special funds subsidiary ledgers.

Monitor, assist in research, and process state and county courts and the department of probation, parole, and pardon service for child support and/or restitution owed by inmates working in either the work release program or in a prison industries program to ensure that obligations are entered into the system.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

A bachelor's degree in accounting.

OR

An associate degree in accounting with three (3) years' experience in accounting or auditing.

OR

A high school diploma with five (5) years' experience in accounting or auditing.
