Medical Accounting Manager (#011290) Budget & Finance, Columbia (RICHLAND) at South Carolina Department of Corrections. This role is located in Columbia, SC and reports to the deputy director of finance. Responsibilities
Under limited supervision of the deputy director of finance, manage the business activities (budget, procurement, and supply) for the division of health services to ensure compliance with state and agency rules, policies and procedures, missions, and objectives. Supervise administrative coordinator pertaining to the processing of invoices and inmate medical bills including verification and data entry in the South Carolina enterprise information system. Maintain and monitor monthly expenditure reports for health services. Maintain, monitor, and initiate all contracts within health services. Prepare annual budget request for health services to be reviewed with the deputy director of health services and deputy directors of substance abuse. Complete fiscal impact studies for all proposed strategic initiatives, staffing proposals and equipment purchases. Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum and additional requirements: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking. Three (3) years of experience in healthcare finances. Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the division of state human resources. Additional Information
