Position Overview
The
AP Manager
will oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This individual will manage vendor relationships, streamline payment processes, and lead the AP team in supporting the company’s financial operations. In addition, this role will provide
secondary support to the Treasury function , acting as a backup to the Treasury Manager as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the accounts payable processes with a high level of accuracy and sense of urgency. Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, expense reporting, and reconciliations. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Partner with vendors to resolve discrepancies, manage inquiries, and negotiate favorable terms when needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to improve workflows and ensure timely payments. Monitor AP metrics and prepare reporting for management review. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the AP function. Secondary Treasury Responsibilities
Act as backup for the Treasury Manager when needed. Assist with daily cash management activities, including monitoring cash balances and transfers. Support the preparation of reporting when needed. Help manage banking relationships and ensure timely execution of wire transfers and ACH payments. Provide support with treasury audits, compliance, and reporting requirements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of AP systems, processes, and best practices. Familiarity with treasury operations, cash management, and banking procedures a plus. Experience in a high-volume, service-based industry preferred. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable communicating with senior leadership. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Physical Requirements
