Irrigation Water Engineer

HDR Engineering is in search of an experienced Irrigation Water Engineer to join our Montana team and be an integral part of our growing irrigation practice.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the production of project deliverables from the planning stages and initial design calculations to the final reporting and development of the plans and specs.
Focus on water resources planning, hydrology/hydraulics, drainage, flood control design, and irrigation.
Work on large civil works projects such as detention facilities, irrigation pumping and conveyance facilities (including diversion and control structures), reservoirs, and other hydraulic structures; be an integral part of the Montana and regional practice.
Qualifications
Master's degree
A minimum of 3 years experience in water resources engineering projects
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field
Previous experience in water resources engineering projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $105,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
