A Day in the Life of the Regional Account Manager
In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to sales expert for distributors and end users of car wash chemicals in your assigned region. Your week will be filled with customer visits, product demos, strategic account growth, and collaborative work with internal teams to ensure outstanding service and customer satisfaction. You'll play a vital role in growing the brand’s presence and sales footprint across your territory.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting 12–15 in-person customer and prospect visits each week
Reaching out via phone and email to engage leads and maintain relationships
Driving new business by penetrating targeted distributor and end user accounts
Delivering engaging product demonstrations and training sessions
Upselling and cross-selling a wide range of car wash chemical solutions
Cold-calling and prospecting to develop new accounts and revenue streams
Preparing quotes, highlighting product benefits, and negotiating pricing
Organizing your schedule to maximize efficiency and territory coverage
Collaborating with customer service to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Maintaining accurate records of calls, expenses, quotes, and orders
Representing the company at industry trade shows and events
Partnering with leadership on territory-specific sales and marketing strategies
Requirements and Qualifications:
Previous experience in B2B field sales, ideally within the chemical or car wash industry
Proven ability to manage a sales territory and hit growth targets
Strong cold-calling, presentation, and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory
Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
