Business Systems Analyst
in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you'll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better. Location
This is a hybrid role based in Lake County, IL. Purpose
The Business Systems Analyst will contribute to developing and maintaining business applications for the Market Access practice area. They will bring specialized technical or business knowledge to business systems and processes, managing and supporting application data, ensuring data accuracy and quality, and contributing to modifications when underlying factors change. Responsibilities
Review and route requested system changes and develop detailed specifications. Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams. Consult with teams to understand complex business needs, identify gaps, and assist in aligning to changes. Ensure data quality and integrity, perform root cause analysis for issues. Familiarize with Market Access data solutions, Big Data architecture, and tools like Hive, Impala, Python to handle data queries. Respond to user questions, develop detailed requirements, system documentation, workflows, and data models. Identify opportunities for business process improvements enabled by data, technology, or AI. Work effectively both independently and in teams, participate in meetings, and complete assignments with minimal supervision. Use tools for data analysis, maintain documentation, conduct tests, and adhere to system standards. Support database and system operations, contribute to project success, and serve as a bridge between technical and operational teams. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience. Self-starter with a quality mindset, capable of working independently and in teams. Strong problem-solving skills, experience with analytical tools, data queries, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of healthcare or pharma industry is a plus. Experience with Excel (advanced), Power BI, SQL, Python, Spark, and AWS is required. Ability to work with multiple data sources. Basic knowledge of master data management methodology.
