About the OpportunityA healthcare facility in Gallup, NM is seeking experienced inpatient pediatricians to support its comprehensive Pediatric Department. We are currently identifying interest from qualified providers dedicated to delivering culturally sensitive pediatric care in an underserved community.

Collaborate with a five-provider team managing a 10-bed pediatric ward and Level 1 nursery , supporting an active OB service with births per month
Attend cesarean deliveries for fetal indications
Provide consultations to Emergency, Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic departments
Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of pediatric conditions, with appropriate referrals as needed
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic health records (RPMS/EHR)
Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
Shift Structure: 12-hour shifts (7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM)
Coverage Expectation: Minimum of shifts per month, including some weekends
On-Call Rotation: Pediatricians will participate in a shared call schedule
Contract Type: 1099 contract ( 1,040 hours per 6-month term)
U.S.-licensed MD or DO with no restrictions
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (with letter of eligibility)
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency
BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum of 3 years of experience (including residency)
Must meet federal health and background clearance standards
Strong communication and teamwork skills
