Urgent Care APP Opening in Astoria, OR Located 90 miles from PortlandPosition Details:
- Full-time, permanent
- Seeking a full-time physician assistant to join our growing urgent care group on the Oregon north coast.
- Salary range of $130,000 - $170,000+
- 10-hour shifts
- The acute care system includes 3 urgent care centers and an emergency department with providers known for excellent practice and teaching. You will have autonomy as well as support; immediate access for advice and assistance. Maintain and raise your clinical skills in this learning organization through involvement in peer review and CME support. Monthly education meetings allow for a focused group discussion and a process of care standardization. Redefine urgent care in the NW while collaborating with primary care, pediatrics and emergency care.
- The Urgent Care Clinics care for nearly 20,000 patients annually with seasonal increases during the summer months. Flexible block work schedule and reasonable clinical volume allow travel/exploration and personal time. The urgent care clinics manage all age ranges and a standard variety of acute conditions with an emphasis on low risk. Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
- Strong oral and written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organizational and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and exercise sound clinical and independent judgments in all age groups served.
- Demonstrated experience in area of clinic practice is required.
- Excellent written verbal, computer and communication skills are required. Education and/or Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Preferably two or more years of experience. License/Certification:
- Salary range of $130,000 - $170,000+ with a comprehensive benefits package. $20,000 commencement bonus and relocation assistance. The Urgent Care Clinics have a HPSA score of 15. The clinics also offer an incentive structure based on productivity and quality metrics.
- Current Physician Assistant license for the State of Oregon at the time of hire.
- State of Oregon Physician Assistant Prescriptive privileges.
- ACLS or BLS required through the American Heart Association.
- Must be successfully credentialed by the Professional Staff.
