Were on the lookout for enthusiastic and driven individuals to become part-time Program Supervisors at our William B. Tecler Elementary School Program in Amsterdam, NY.

PAY: $16.00 per hour SCHEDULE: 7:00 AM 8:30 AM AND 2:45 PM 6:00 PM JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

WHAT YOULL DO: Lead fun, hands-on activities aligned with our Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM exploration, academic engagement, creative arts, and more. Bonus points if youre great at homework help!

Build a safe, positive, and high-energy environment where kids feel empowered to grow. Be the role model theyll admire and remember.

Support the Site Director with day-to-day operations like keeping attendance records accurate, helping with registration, and stepping into the leadership role when the Site Director is off-site.

Keep families in the loop through the Playground App, sharing updates and special moments that matter.

Stay up to date by following OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program protocols, and school site guidelines with consistency and care.

Collaborate regularly with your Director to troubleshoot issues, make informed decisions, and plan strategically for success.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Youll need one of the following:

A high school diploma or equivalent plus two years of direct experience working with children under age 13.

OR

A School-Age Child Care Credential or other credential approved by the Office for the school-age range, plus one year of relevant experience.

OR

An Associates degree in a related field such as Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, or Recreation.

WHAT YOU BRING: A clean bill of health and medical clearance, including no communicable diseases like TB.

An upbeat, positive personality with top-tier communication skills great with kids, professional with parents, and a supportive teammate.

Youre ready to move able to bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and stay physically active throughout the day to match the energy of the children you serve.
