Title: Software Architect/ Senior Java Developer
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: W A Harriman Plaza Bldg. 8, Albany, NY, 12227 (40% over each 2-week period)

Scope of the project: • Collections and Accounts Receivable • Taxpayer Accounting • Withholding Tax Returns Processing Daily Responsibilities • Guide the technical design for modernization of legacy systems. • Coordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups. • Making changes in multiple systems in real time to enable changes requested by user group. • Implementing technical solutions. • Developing tax processing system components and maintaining existing processing systems. • Supporting production tasks including analysis of issue, proposing and implementing solutions for defect resolution. • Coordinating with development team on development activities and integration testing. • Developing technical design documents and program specifications. • Guiding requirements gathering sessions. • Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work. • Coding and performing unit and integration tests of programming assignments. • Writing and tuning SQL • Supporting user testing efforts. • Performance tune new and existing applications. • Mentoring less experienced staff.
Minimum Qualification: • 84 months of experience with J2EE technologies including EJB, JDBC, JSP and XML. • 84 months of experience with Java programming in an IBM development environment using IDE of IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) that are deployed to Websphere Application Server (WAS). • 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with DB2 databases and experience with XML schemas (definition, querying and automated generation). • 36 months of experience with a Government organization, which includes business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance and end user support of complex systems. • 60 months of experience in performance tuning applications interacting with databases. • 60 months of experience in IBM MQSeries • 60 months of experience with an organization which includes technical design, development, maintenance, and end user support of complex system. • 84 months of experience in system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems and writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
