Join our close-knit team of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians and advanced practice providers at Covenant Children’s Hospital, the only licensed freestanding children’s hospital in West Texas and eastern New Mexico. Our physicians and APPs love working here because of the supportive hospital staff, strong nurse relationships, and collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
Board-certified or Board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Authorization to work in the U.S., including H1B visa sponsorship, with support from Sound’s in-house visa specialists.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling
Full-time: 120 hours/month minimum for full benefits. Part-time and PRN options are available to fit your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
Our 16-bed emergency department, complete with 2 trauma bays, delivers exceptional care to children in a supportive and collaborative environment. Deliver high-quality care in a Level II Trauma Center with seasonal adjustments to physician coverage (24-36 hours/day) based on patient volume. Teaching opportunities with Pediatric and Family Medicine residents. Work in a supportive environment with dedicated OB ED and excellent subspecialty support. Access to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Bedside Ultrasound for efficient care delivery. Utilize EPIC EMR to ensure efficient and effective patient documentation and communication—scribe coverage for 12 hours per day.

Rewards And Benefits
Compensation: W2 employed with a comprehensive benefits package. Hourly Pay: $250/hr for days, $265/hr for swings, $285/hr for nights We offer a sign-on bonus of up to $75k and fellowship stipend support for up to all three years of fellowship training. Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. 401k with matching contributions. Paid malpractice insurance, including tail coverage. Qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) for eligible candidates
