JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Anesthesiologist Anesthesia Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Plattsburgh, NY Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: 07/14 26/2025 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 7:00am 3:30pm On-Call Shift Schedule: Weekdays & Weekends (24-hr call coverage as needed) Call Type: In-House Call Ratio: Rotating 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th call Call Response Time: 15 minutes COVERAGE DATES Jul Aug , Sep ,29 Oct 03 Oct , Nov Dec , PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults; Healthy Pediatrics (no high-risk peds) Patient Volume/Census: 45 cases per day Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: OB/Gyn, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, GI, Urology, Vascular, Plastics, Colorectal FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 9 main ORs Trauma Level: Level III with ACS EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped OR Specialty Backup Available: Full surgical team, OB, and support services Support Staff Available: CRNAs, PA's, nurses, OR techs, Anesthesia techs, Directors, Managers Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage / Scheduled Absences PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, for clean files Credentialing Timeline: Fast-track available for clean files (No malpractice or work gaps) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Bread & butter surgery OB anesthesia Regional blocks for OR cases JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active NY medical license required Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: ACLS required Experience: OB anesthesia and 1st/2nd call experience preferred Other Qualifications: Must live within 15 minutes of facility while on-call; Must cover majority of listed dates DUTIES & RES
