Tool and Die Makers 2nd & 3rd Shift - Kirkwood, MO
Our client in Kirkwood, MO is a global technology leader that energizes the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future. We're currently seeking experienced Tool and Die Makers to join our stamping manufacturing team. You'll play a critical role in repairing, building, and maintaining progressive tungsten carbide lamination and metal forming dies to ensure the highest quality parts for our production lines.
4 Positions on 2nd Shift $40.56 hourly
3 Positions on 3rd Shift $41.26 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, repair, and maintain carbide lamination stamping and forming dies
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and schematics with precision
- Set up and operate metalworking machinery (lathes, mills, grinders)
- Troubleshoot dies, perform quality control checks, and conduct test runs
- Lead or support 5S, SMED, Kaizen, scrap reduction, and tooling efficiency projects
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE use
- Record work in SAP and follow SOPs for die repairs
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in Tool and Die making
- Experience with progressive stamping operations and carbide lamination dies preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and metalworking skills
- Mastery of measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems
- Metallurgical knowledge and solid math skills (geometry, trigonometry, algebra)
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating with engineers and machinists
