Patient Report & Hand-off: Receive a thorough patient report from the outgoing CNA at the beginning of each shift to ensure continuity of care.

Hourly Patient Rounds: Conduct hourly rounds to check on patients, monitor vital signs (as directed and trained), update whiteboard information, and address immediate patient needs.

Mobility Assistance: Assist patients with ambulation, including helping them move to a recliner, walk to the bathroom, or navigate the hallway. Safely assist discharged patients to their vehicles.

Hygiene Assistance: Provide assistance with hygiene needs, including full bed baths, assisted bed baths, and providing supplies for ambulatory patients.

Procedure Assistance: Assist nurses with various procedures, such as tube insertions (NG tube, rectal tube, catheter), by providing support, supplies, and clean-up assistance.

General Patient Care: Change bed linens, check patients' weight, and perform other assigned tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.

Adherence to Standards: Provide basic patient care in accordance with individual patient needs, hospital policy, and established standards of patient care, under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications

At least one (1) year experience as a Nursing Assistant required.

Acute care facility experience preferred.
n n - n
Current California Nursing Assistant certification.
n n - n
Current AHA BLS card required.
n n - n
High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required.
n n - n
LA Fire Card required within 90 days of hire.
n n
