As a Pharmacy Intern Trainee, you will play an integral role in supporting our pharmacy teams and enhancing your skills as you prepare for your future as a Pharmacist. Guided by your preceptor, you will embark on a comprehensive training roadmap that will immerse you in the operations of a pharmacy team, while offering insights into store, district, and regional functions.
You will gain practical experience through a training roadmap that includes:
- Hands-on responsibilities supporting pharmacy operations to ensure timely and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Learning best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through active participation in pharmacy workflow.
- Engaging with patients to provide exceptional service and demonstrate authentic care.
- Opportunities to counsel and assist in the management of patient health, under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Involvement in inventory activities and assisting in maintaining pharmacy efficiency.
As you progress in your role, you will take on greater responsibility for the safety and effectiveness of our operations, including:
- Following all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participating in immunization services, including education, monitoring adverse reactions, and vaccination administration when certified.
- Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment, actively seeking feedback to enhance your clinical and technical skills.
- Remaining adaptable to scheduling needs and business demands, including flexibility to work in various locations within the market.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in or accepted into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Eligible for or in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure.
