Position Overview:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with patient examinations and treatments under the guidance of our nursing or physician team. Your responsibilities will include patient interactions, recording vital signs, and preparing treatment areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with treatment procedures as directed by providers or registered nurses.
  • Interview patients and measure vital signs, accurately documenting information in their charts.
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized environment.
  • Perform clerical duties such as answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
  • Manage medical supplies by ordering and restocking as necessary.
  • Document provider encounters and assist with transcribing orders for tests and medications.
  • Uphold safety standards while performing a wide range of responsibilities.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned to support our healthcare team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required; or 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred for Wisconsin candidates.

Experience:

  • No prior experience needed; motivation to learn and grow is key!

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Communicate effectively using hearing and speech.
  • Lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform various movements, including bending and reaching as necessary.

Certification Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • One of the following certifications is required: CCMA, CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent based on the applicant's qualifications.

Work Schedule:

Day Shift - 36 hours per week
